Mt. Asagi in 1999 at a very uniquely constructed stage inside St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New York City was Yuko Hamada’s third theatrical production. This production, written and directed by Yuko Hamada was also a story set in Edo period, Japan. Mt. Asagi is a story of a feudal lord, his estranged and betrayed brother’s revenge, and a group of bandits living in Mount Asagi. This is a story of redemption of the feudal lord’s past merciless actions and later discovery of good faith.
